Survival
2025

Survival is an installation combining sound and sculpture, immersing the audience in a sensory field of invisible pressure and suspended tension. Six wire cages each hold a black balloon and a small speaker, forming a fragile system that exists on the verge of rupture. Inside each balloon, filtered urban noise, traffic, electrical hums, distant voices, resonates, muffled by rubber yet persistently present. Air pumps inflate the balloons in unpredictable rhythms, creating a slow choreography of expansion and restraint. Through this interplay of vibration, air, and sound, Survival evokes the psychological condition of contemporary urban life, an equilibrium between endurance and collapse. The work invites viewers to inhabit the moment after explosion, where energy remains suspended and unresolved, reflecting on the fragile boundaries of control and survival.
