Attunement II - Signal 2026
Attunement II- Signal, a live audiovisual performance centred around water, resonance, and unstable signal transformation. A small illuminated water tank functions as both instrument and interface: ripples, bubbles, color, and surface disturbances are observed in real time and translated into sound processes through camera-based analysis and Max/MSP. These materials are further shaped through live processing and controller-based manipulation, moving between low-frequency drones, metallic textures, submerged distortions, and dense noise layers.
The work also includes a live visual component. The water surface is captured in real time and projected onto a screen or projection surface, where light, colour, ripples, bubbles, and distortions become part of the performance.
This piece approaches water as an unstable transmission system. Small physical disturbances are amplified, filtered, distorted, and reorganised into a stereo field, while the projected image makes the fragile physical changes of the water visible at a larger scale. Sound and image emerge from the same live material, creating a performance environment between tactile gesture, electronic transformation, and audiovisual instability.
This work was developing and performing between London,Barreiro, Bristol, Barrow-in-Furness and Berlin.
